Dear Rich- So sorry it took us so long to give you an update on Rock Star. We've been very busy with his training. He is exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a horse that was sound and sane and that's hard to find. We also wanted a green horse that my daughter could gain experience training and create a true bond with. Rock Star is amazingly loving and tends to like his human better than the herd. He is bombproof and I mean that literally. Every summer the town shoots fireworks right over our property and Rock Star doesn't blink an eye. For a 5 year old that's exceptional. We had some starts and stops with trainers in the beginning, but figured out in short order that it was the trainers, not the horse. He has taken to jumping like a pro. He is honest, loves the pace and took first place his first time out. He is learning dressage this winter and does fairly well even though he prefers fast and flying! I have attached some pictures so you can see how great he looks. He filled out beautifully after a few months of regular work and with another year's growth his height increased. His coloring will always be unique and striking in the ring! Just hope that you don't see him at a show...cause my horse will beat your horse anyday! Hope all is well at the barn. Best Regards, Syler and Sutton Murray |

A great big thank you for introducing me to my best friend (besides my hubby, of course!). Bob just lights up my life. We ride everywhere and come spring I want to get a little pony for both Bob and the Grandkids, so we will be seeing you then! |

Hi Rich! I just wanted to give you an update on "Whiz" to let you know how we're all doing. He has the best personality and absolutely loves to be around people just as much as his barnmates. We took him to two shows, over this summer, and have placed in all of our classes riding both english and western. He even got his first blue ribbon in Command class...he's such a good listener and does anything you ask of him. Your flexibility and dedication in finding us the right horse, that suited both our riding abilities, is much appreciated. We couldn't be happier! Good luck in your future endeavors. Warm regards, Karen Hunter |

I just received Spur's (now re-named Raven) registration certificate in the mail and it reminded me that I needed to contact you and tell you how much we love him!! He is a sweet, wonderful horse. I cannot believe how calm he is for such a young horse. The vet described him as "forgiving", and he certainly is that. He patiently takes on whatever this mother/daughter beginner duo can dish out. He works well in the ring and has proved himself to be nearly unflappable on the trail. Everyone at the barn loves him! Thank you again for your patience while we were making our selection. Raven was absolutely the best pick for us, and I thank you for showing us such a wonderful horse. Cindy |

Hi Rich, I came across your card and realized that I had never given you an update on my buddy Ghost (Moon Ghost Spirit). He is such a great horse. He and I are getting along great. I am amazed at how smart he is, I am still taking lessons just to catch up to Him. And what a character too! Thanks again, Ed |

Hi Rich I was taking a peek at your website today and was tickled to see a photo of our horse on your main page. We bought Spot (Mr Executive Prince) from you about four years ago, and have loved every minute with him. He's got a great personality, so curious and playful. We've been teaching him tricks like fetch and lie down, maybe someday we'll take him to the circus (NOT!!). He's an awesome trail horse, you never have to worry when you go out on him. And a bit of a celebrity here at home, the tourists are always stopping us to take pictures of the polka-dot horse! He's the best! Omar and Sheila |

Hi Rich
I bought Double in June 2007 and want to let you know that he is doing great! He has a wonderful personality and everyone at the barn loves him. We are now riding dressage and progressing well with only a french link bit. On weekends we trail ride with friends and he loves being a part of a group. He is a willing partner and just what I needed. Thank you for making it possible. Janice Berman |

Hi Rich – remember “MEXICO”, the chestnut gelding you sold me in February 2005? He is “Ponderaia’s Rio Grande” now – better known as “RIO HOSS”. Happy trails ~ Laine Raia |

I just wanted to let you know that Trucker and I are having a wonderful time. You were right in the first place, he was the right horse for me, but without your help the day we took him home, I'd never have known it. He's helping me in so many ways - keeping my own balance where it ought to be, staying soft, keeping my aids light (almost undetectable, save by him). He's delightful. It's obvious that the work he received from the two of you while he was at your place has benefited him tremendously - I keep becoming aware of some additional little thing that I'd taken for granted that in fact was the result of work - like the way he handles himself on a leadline. He's always right where you want him, and he starts and stops without signals, just following me. I have him indoors now, probably for the whole winter, and we're riding outside when we can and inside the rest of the time; it's good stuff. We have plenty to work on, but his foundation work is solid, and I appreciate that. And he's just the horse to teach me what I need to learn. Thanks, both of you. Best wishes for the holidays. Hello Rich & Melissa; I just wanted to write and let you know that Yokie is absolutely spectacular! He is all that I ever hoped for. He's an absolute huge Love! He follows me around like a puppy dog! Loves to come up to me and gently lower his head against my chest for face petting. He comes to me when he hears his name. He is so unbelievably level headed. He amazes me with his calmness in how he doesn't react to hardly anything going on around him, yet he is so very aware of his surroundings. You can tell that even though he is extremely easy going, his mind is moving right along... he can be quite mischievous in a fun, playful way. At this point, after a few months, we both really enjoy each others company and have learned to trust each other. He is so lovely to ride, I think we will both have a spectacular summer exploring the country side up here, his canter is a dream! The girls at the barn call us Keri-Yokie :) Everyone at the barn adores him. Thanks again, Keri Begnoche |
Dear Rich and Melissa: Sorry it has taken me so long to write back, I have been trying to get organized and settle Fancy in. She is doing great and loves her new home. We bought her a plum color blanket and plum color water and feed buckets. She has a pink glitter ball & those lickits and she loves it. Such a girly girl. I rode her yesterday in the snow and she did great!!! The vet came today and said she was perfect!!! Thank-you for living up to your reputation. My husband said she is so cute and friendly and is attached to her already. She whinnies every time the girls and I open the barn door, if she is in, and whinnies at us every time we say good-night. Well that is all for now. I will send pictures later.

Hello there, Rich
I purchased a 14.1 QH/Welsh buckskin gelding named Stetson from you on October 2, 2003.
Stetson has turned out to be a really fabulous horse with a sweet disposition, a lot of energy and willingness to learn. My niece has been using him for jumping and he took to it very well and with great enthusiasm! Everyone at the barn swears he had to have had previous jumping experience as he certainly doesn't look like a beginner at it.
He is an enthusiastic, fast learner who is a lot of fun to ride. The barn managers love him and there isn't anyone who meets him who doesn't think he's adorable. He has been on countless trail rides, Hunter-Paces and even done a few shows. I'm proud to say that he took 3 ribbons in his first show and 4 in the next one!
I love him dearly and am so glad we found each other.
Take Care-

| Hi Rich - I have been meaning to write to let you know how much we are enjoying Fonzie. We are actually calling him Doc (for Naturally Dun Doc). He is a terrific horse and perfect for John and me. He is so easy to work around and is totally sane and reliable. John is a beginning rider and I have had more riding experience, but Doc adjusts beautifully whoever is riding him. He gets along very well with our mare Sadie. We are so happy to have him. Thanks so much for your help. If we are ever in the market for another horse, we will definitely give you a call. Hi Rich, |

It's hard to believe that a year has gone by already, and I had to write to tell you how happy I am with my horse, Captain. He is the best horse I have ever ridden! He is such a good horse that my husband even loves him...they've become real good buddies. I can't thank you enough for taking the time with me to find the perfect horse. At times, I thought for sure that you would give up on me. I also want to say thanks for insisting that I at least take Captain for a ride. I think that you knew better what I wanted for a horse than I did.
I hope that if you are ever in the area you will give me a call & stop by to say Hi. I also want to tell you that I've dealt with a lot of business people, but never with anyone as professional as yourself. i will certainly recommend you to friends and business associates. I'm a very happy camper!

Re: Nomination for Superior Farm Award To Whom it May Concern:I am a PhD level research scientist, and owner of Falcon Ridge Farm in West Windsor, VT, where I give riding instruction in equitation and dressage, board horses, and present equine seminars, and breed hispano Arabian horses. I wish to nominate Hollis Ranch for superior farm recognition. In early July of 2004 I purchased a superb riding horse from Hollis Ranch, and this horse (a Quarter-Horse/Thoroughbred cross) has performed in a manner as represented by the owner of Hollis Ranch, Rich LaSalle. The horse, Paramount's Brilliant Diamond ("Paramount") has been utilized for private lessons in hunt seat equitation and English pleasure, and extensive and challenging trail riding. The horse arrived at our farm in excellent condition from his tenure at Hollis Ranch. In my interactions with Hollis Ranch, I have observed that the establishment abides by sound stable management procedures, and does business in an honest and straightforward manner. I also observed that stalls and aisles are clean and safe, and that personnel are well trained in equine care and in safety. The indoor arena is Olympic-sized and very well constructed with many safety features. The outdoor pastures and paddocks are very satisfactory, and never over-crowded with horses.
As at Falcon Ridge, the policy at Hollis Ranch is to turn out horses from approximately 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, weather permitting. The farm features a very high quality horse-transportation truck-trailer rig, and the driving is safe, cautious, and defensive. The horses associated with the sales barn appear healthy, safe, well trained, and content, and surely are well fed in hay and grain, and very well groomed. Stalls are large and well bedded. I am an author of several published books on horses, and many articles in equine periodicals on dressage. I have also been a competition-judge at the USET headquarters in Gladstone, NJ, as well as a purchase agent. I have given equitation and dressage clinics at many locations, and have been a licensed instructor in horsemanship for many years. In addition I endeavor to provide guidance and advice to correct problems in riding horses. I believe I have the proper credentials to cast an unambiguous nomination of Hollis Ranch as an excellent candidate for a superior farm recognition. Please contact me without hesitation, if I can provide more information. Dr. G. C. Vezzoli

| Just a quick note to let you know what a GREAT horse "Jack" (Welcome Zans Jack) is. He has a great disposition-is fun to ride, and gets along with all the other horses. I've trailered him multiple times-he walks right on-and we did our first NHTA ride last Sunday in Gilmanton, NH. Jack has started in training with Vitor Silva (the owner of my barn) and is doing well. He's a quick learner and tries all the time-even if he doesn't truly understand "this english stuff". Thank you again-you have a wonderful facility! Lesley Fogarty & Jack |
